Located right next to Picasso Museum in Barcelona, this project seeks to give continuity to the existing urban fabric on its outside and proposes a multiplicity of spaces for the students. Serveral exterior terraces, study rooms and halls give porosity to the intervention since its a highly dense area. An important feature of the project is that all student rooms face south. In terms of volumetric composition, the project seeks to abstract typical construction typology of Barrio Gothic; a clear tripartite composition: a plinth on ground floor, a middle volume with small openings and a top section. Openings seek to be in two categories, big and volumetric openings wich host program as terraces, and small vertical openings wich respond to various spaces regardless their use.
